We will read M. Dimitrov&#8217;s lecture notes, <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/math.univ-lille1.fr\/~mladen\/articles\/crm-dimitrov.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Arithmetic Aspects of Hilbert Modular Forms and Varieties<\/a><\/em>. This is a Chapter of the book,<em> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/book\/10.1007\/978-3-0348-0618-3#toc\" target=\"_blank\">Elliptic Curves, Hilbert Modular Forms and Galois Deformations<\/a><\/em>, by L. Berger, G. B\u00f6ckle, L. Demb\u00e9l\u00e9, M. Dimitrov, T. Dokchitser, and J. Voight. If there is interest, we may go deeper into this topic, and perhaps read these <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/pdf\/1102.1864.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Notes on The Arithmetic Of Hilbert Modular Forms<\/a><\/em>, by A. Raghuram and N. Tanabe. This <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/wstein.org\/msri06\/lassina\/HMF_Intro.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Introduction to Hilbert Modular Forms<\/a>, by L. Demb\u00e9l\u00e9 is quite nice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On May 3rd, we will keep discussing section <strong>1<\/strong> of Dimitrov&#8217;s notes.
