This course is the first in the series and focuses on classical Homotopy Theory of topological spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main goal is to develop geometric intuition and a solid background for the more abstract theories to come, including model categories, higher category theory, and higher algebra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The course will primarily follow <strong>Tammo tom Dieck<\/strong>\u2019s <em>Algebraic Topology<\/em>, with the aim of covering its first eight chapters.
